In this workshop with Marcello Di Cintio, author of several award-winning travelogue books and articles, you’ll get a masterclass in narrative travel journalism as a literary art form – rather than a collection of banal hotel reviews and dispatches from distant spas. The instructor will challenge you to think about writers’ goals and responsibilities when they go off to seek stories in the great wide world. how they portray the other, and who the “Other” really is. By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to write travel stories that actually matter.

This webinar is designed for live participation but a recording of the webinar will be provided to all registrants to stream if they’re unable to attend in full or wish to view it again. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Marcello Di Cintio is the award-winning author of five books – all travelogues of one kind or another – including Walls: Travels Along the Barricades, Pay No Heed to the Rockets: Palestine in the Present Tense and Driven: The Secret Life of Taxi Drivers. Di Cintio’s travel writing can also be found in publications like Afar, Canadian Geographic, enRoute and Conde Nast Traveller.
