Chris Turner

Author, Essayist, and Journalist

Chris Turner is the author of six books, including the recent national bestseller The Patch: The People, Pipelines and Politics of the Oil Sands, which won the 2018 National Business Book Award. His 2014 essay collection, How To Breathe Underwater, won the 2014 City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize. He is an award-winning essayist and climate and energy communications strategist. He lives in Calgary with his wife and two children. His latest book on the global energy transition will be published by Random House Canada next year.
