Marcello Di Cintio
Format
2-hr. masterclass w/ Q&A + optional consultation
In a world where every place has been discovered, what is the point of travel writing? In this workshop with Marcello Di Cintio, author of several award-winning travelogue books and articles, you’ll get a masterclass in narrative travel journalism as a literary art form – rather than a collection of banal hotel reviews and dispatches from distant spas. The instructor will challenge you to think about writers’ goals and responsibilities when they go off to seek stories in the great wide world. how they portray the other, and who the “Other” really is. By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to write travel stories that actually matter.
For an additional fee, students can upgrade to Stream B to receive tailored feedback from Marcello on a travel story of up to 3,000 words. Only 10 spots available.
